Sitting on my bed, with my laptop open in front of me, I am completely immersed in my online world. The notifications follow one another, but I can hear an increasingly insistent rumbling coming from my stomach. I think back to what I ate today and realize that my choices were not the best.
I started the day with a quick breakfast, a slice of chocolate cake left over from yesterday's party and a cup of very sugary tea. Unhealthy choices, I know, but I couldn't resist the temptation. For lunch, I fooled my hunger with a kebab stuffed with spiced meat, spicy sauce and crunchy vegetables, all wrapped in a soft pita bread. To complete the meal, I also had some French fries, because, as we know, "one leads to another"
In the afternoon, I gave in to a package of gummy candies that had hidden in my travel bag, a sin of gluttony that I could not ignore. And now, as I scrutinize the screen, I feel the consequences of these choices. A small fart makes its way, followed by another, more noticeable one. I blush, knowing that I can't escape this situation
“What was I thinking?” I say to myself. Even though I'm alone in the room, I feel a little embarrassed. The combination of heavy food and sweets is taking its toll.
I smile, resigned, and try to focus on my surroundings. Maybe it's time to think about a more balanced diet. But I can't help but think that, who knows, maybe tomorrow I'll make better choices!


 


Seduta sul mio letto, con il laptop aperto davanti a me, sono completamente immersa nel mio mondo online. Le notifiche si susseguono, ma sento un brontolio sempre più insistente provenire dal mio stomaco. Ripenso a cosa ho mangiato oggi e mi rendo conto che le mie scelte non sono state delle migliori.
Ho iniziato la giornata con una colazione veloce, una fetta di torta al cioccolato avanzata dalla festa di ieri e una tazza di tè molto zuccherato. Scelte poco salutari, lo so, ma non ho resistito alla tentazione. A pranzo, ho ingannato la fame con un kebab farcito di carne speziata, salsa piccante e verdure croccanti, il tutto avvolto in un morbido pane pita. Per completare il pasto, ho preso anche delle patatine fritte, perché, si sa, “una tira l’altra”
Nel pomeriggio, ho ceduto a un pacchetto di caramelle gommose che si erano nascoste nella mia borsa da viaggio, un peccato di gola che non potevo ignorare. Ed ora, mentre scruto lo schermo, sento le conseguenze di queste scelte. Una piccola scoreggia si fa strada, seguita da un'altra, più evidente. Arrossisco, sapendo che non posso scappare da questa situazione
“Cosa stavo pensando?” mi dico tra me e me. Anche se sono sola in camera, mi sento un po' imbarazzata. La combinazione di cibi pesanti e dolci sta reclamando la sua vendetta.
Sorrido, rassegnata, e cerco di concentrarmi su ciò che mi circonda. Forse è il momento di riflettere su una dieta più equilibrata. Ma non posso fare a meno di pensare che, chissà, magari domani farò scelte migliori!
