Great fight, still a mediocre show with no plot. Introduced a bunch of S Class characters just for them to basically get one shotted. Oh yeah, that enemy that just one shotted everyone gets smoked in half an episode.

One shot the Japanese only, he only slapped the Koreans for X reasons, only for then to be useless agains Jinwoo. Consistency all over the place.

Animation-wise this was peak, a pity the writer isn't up to it.
It's kind of stupid that Jinwoo goes after a strength test if he's that worried with Cha's condition. Almost as stupid as the japanese not knowing what's happening when it's being broadcasted to the entire Korea.

Damn, this dude has negative aura, wow, he looks like a glorified hentai MC. The tension from S-class hunters being harmed by the King is completely gone as, of course, Jin-Woo is all the classes including a healer thanks to his HP potions hax. Cha Hae-In can't be healed, and beyond the shoehorned plot element that doesnt allow it, I believe I know the reason why: The author, to set up this abhorrent romance between these two, has to specifically guideline and cherrypick his own narrative to lead to this moment, even if it isnt appropiate or if they dont share any synergy whatsoever, even if its incredibly forced, its very clear to me that they'll both end in a contrived, ridiculous relationship—we'll have to see what they asspull to make this possible. Jin-Woo is absurdly inefficient even with how OP he is, his waste of mana with the summons is weird considering that he could easily clear all of these ants along with the rehealed S-class hunters without wasting his resources, but even that doesnt matter because he has mana potions lol. Wait, was Goto fucking DECAPITATED??? Like, dead off-screen? Thats incredibly fucking lame. The japanese missing the broadcast is contrived as fuck, in such an interconnected world you're telling me that NOBODY saw the korean broadcast?

Do you see any difference between the S-ranked cucked goons that are watching Gigachad Sigmalord fight bootleg Meruem and the D-ranked deadweights from S1 and early S2? Not really, thats how bastardized these characters and the S-rank was. You can't make this up, the camera man's tech goes on as soon as Gigachad is going to fight bootleg Meruem, it's soooo shitty :sob: HE RECEIVES A FULL-ON HIT from a monster who annihilated a group of S-ranked koreans and japanese with ease, and he barely movesss, the vertical powerscaling is so gross oh my god. That's where redhead guy is wrong, Gigachad Sigmalord is EVERY class all at once, which makes his fighting style an incoherent and bland mess. At this point, the choreography is so lazy that I won't even bother, they are just punching each other in place, and the anime pretends that I am so amazed by this, with all the epic music and reactions, when it's just... so mediocre. Why does he have the LowTierGod eyes? Ant King goes: "I extracted the poison from the sea creatures" WHENNN did you do this, exactly? Talk about forced drama, because Gigachad will outlast this poison anyways thanks to his ridiculous hax. Why is Jin-Woo not using his summons to overwhelm the enemy? Everyone is just spectating Gigachad Sigmalord for some reason, that's why Solo Leveling feels more like a turn-based slop game rather than a real-time, dynamic combat. Well, Jin-Woo, if you're worried about Gigastacy, you should've been efficient and used your summons to overwhelm this guy meanwhile you punch him into a pulp, but you're just doing dumb shit for some reason?? This protagonist's mood and reason changes are so strange. There is no exchange of ideologies or interesting dialogue either, it's PEW PEW until someone dies. It's so brainrotting that theres zero sense of urgency. Ant King and Jin-Woo are both so inconsistent.

OHHH SHIT he is post-rose Meruem now, new form like its Dragon Ball Z. Why is he kinda cunty now? Why didnt you use your daggers from the start to instakill this guy, who was clearly overwhelmed by YOUR FISTS ALONE??? Again, why isn't Jin-Woo using HIS FUCKING SUMMONS? He is a necromancer, for the love of god, yet his summons are literally doing nothing, it's not like overusing them is an issue considering that he has mana potions and that the S-class hunters are healed. The shaman is a good support, you can use dragon, Ornstein and Smough as distractions, yet it's just Gigachad dick measure competition ad nauseam, it's so bland. That part where the lights are clashing is straight-up ripped from HxH when Netero and Meruem clash. If his hax wasnt enough bullshit, Gigachad Sigmalord gets an improved skill JUST IN TIME to kill this guy when he was about to get a deadly blow, talk about a deus ex machina. Solo Anticlimax always disappoints. Who expected anything else? No one of course, it's weekly slop here. A contrived, anticlimactic mess with no sense of self or elegance whatsoever. The build-up? Feeble. The characters? Worthless. The action? Anticlimactic. The plot? Bland. The dialogue? Unnecessary. The reactions? Ridiculous. The pacing? Incoherent. Slop Leveling can get away with murder because tiktok aura. Cant wait for Slop Jin-Woo to have Nuclear Ant on his hands and Cha Hae-In as a traumabonded tradwife Gigastacy. Highest quality slop. I mean, do you see how lax he was after the fight? This was NOTHING for Gigachad Sigmalord.

It had the dimming on live TV. International streaming doesn't have it.

Makes sense that they would make it up to us after dropping the worst episode of the season last week, to give us yet another banger episode.. and right off the bat, you know the drill, if the OP ain't in it, then shit IS about to go DOWN.

We all know how last episode ended with that cliffhanger of Jinwoo saying "exchange", so yeah, ofc he's exchanged to get himself on the battlefield, and he ain't waste no time, just straight to defeating every ant there. But these little peasant ants weren't even worth Jinwoo's time, and he left them to the shadows to deal with... The same can't be said about the ant equivalent of Jinwoo, Beru, who first thing he does when seeing Jinwoo... is have an aura off... xD

I usually don't like when the show does this stupid switch between the outside world and where Jinwoo currently is, but seeing Jinah's reaction to her oniichan being on the field was pretty funny lol. You just know that the next day at school she's gonna be pestered. But yeah, back to the field, and fawkkk the animation was going hard. Mainly on the drawings side of things. I didn't remember the first half of the fight being straight hands, but yeah, it was.

But to kick of the second half of the fight with that AMAZING Beru tranformation scene like HOLY SHIT THAT WAS INSANE... AND THAT WASN'T EVEN THE EXTENT OF IT ALL, EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWED WAS PURE FUCKING INSANITY. AND IT JUST GOT EVEN MORE NSANE AFTER THEY BOTH EQUIPPED THEIR AURA AND THEY DID THAT ONE PUNCH MAN E12 ASS CLASH GRAHHHH. Safe to say, Beru out out-auraed and so just started running away, but we know Jinwoo, he ain't letting NO enemy leave without getting to Arise them.

They did more than jsut redeem themselves for last episode, that's for sure. I'm in shock. A rewatch or two, or three, hell maybe even four will be needed.
