I think this live version is a masterpiece
Unlucky Morpheus doesn't conquer the world simply because they don't want to. They are just a group of friends who get together to create music. They don't need a record label. They self-finance everything. And above all, they are really funny at what they do.
They don't need .. but we need them here 😭😭
I have to see them live !!!! I .. have !!!!
If you're a musician, this is a band you definitely want to see live. You’ll experience two lead guitarists and a violinist rotating on stage, each performing their own solo parts, along with harmonized dual guitar solos between Shiren and Jinya, as well as beautiful harmonized sections with Jill, the violinist, switching and performing with each guitarist throughout the night. In the back, Fumiya, the speed drummer, is hitting everything, while up front, Fuki’s powerful vocals command the stage. The bassist, Ogawa, adds a solid foundation to their sound. It’s truly a lavish experience to witness these talented musicians live-they’re my absolute favorite band to see in concert❣️🤘
🤘🤘
Was lucky enough to go to a live by them last month. Amazing stuff, the best concert I've been to by far, and the best part is the fun that they are having on stage is contagious to the whole audience.
Vocals are so amazing!
She is self-taught, her mother taught her to sing. She said: "I sing the way my mother taught me."
Fuki is the best. Her voice is so iconic and instantly recognizable, which is a crucial quality for a great vocalist.
And the good news is Fuki goes out on tour on the 8th of next month in a " double " bill of Gacharic Spin & Doll$boxx - yet another gig I would LOVE to witness !
My first exposure to Unlucky Morpheus was their violin cover of Malmsteen's Far Beyond the Sun (part of the band) and then I went on to explore more of their music. A very talented band.
JILL !!! JILL !!! JILL !!! 🎻🔥🤘
this song is my Jam.
always wonderful to see new people reacting to this song.
for fun (if you haven't reacted to it already), you should react to Unlucky Morpheus' "Cadaver/Revadac". truly showcases how incredible their musicianship really is...
I love FUKI's Enka style vocals! She is one of the greats. The whole band is insanely good.
Wide vibrato. If she goes any wider, she will be into shigin territory!
Members of Unlucky Morpheus:
FUKI , lead vocals, lyrics, web development.
Shiren, guitars Strandberg , harsh vocals, band leader, composer, arranger, producer
Jinya: guitars ESP
Jill: Violin
Hiroyuki Ogawa: Bass guitar ESP
FUMIYA: Drums
Kasumi: Manager, support vocals
Far beyond the sun 🎸🎻🤘😎
Should do both Unlucky Morpheus violin cover and Miyako's piano cover of the song.
Love UM, in particular their earlier back catalogue. Fuki has always been my favourite female vocalist. 🏴🤘
Shiren, with the headstock-less guitar has a condition called tenosynovitis (tendon inflammation) that affected his playing. He didn't play for about a year - during which *_Jill_* played the harmony parts with Jinya (other guitarist) on her violin. During this time Shiren contributed with harsh vocals. He returned playing about a year later with his guitar on a stand, and eventually was able to play normally - but needed the lightest guitar he could find. *Jill* was a child 'Prodigy' violinist that played, and won, in competitions - specializing in Paganini (the fastest and most difficult violin composer). Jill likes to play FAST. I'll send you guys a Coffee with some *Jill* and a subset of the band called Quadratum.
Oh shit that sounds amazing..I remember someone saying he had a condition with his hands which is why he chose those guitars. They guy rips like there's no tomorrow so I would have never known he had any issue. This was kick ass!. Thanks so much for the info.
And that bass is something!
Explore the instrumentals, especially Jill's cover of Eruption on violin. Just top notch musicians and I believe this is their 15th year anniversary for the band.
俺も大好きです。
インストゥルメンタル曲も抜群に良いですよ。
My first exposure to Fuki (the singer) was from Doll$Boxx. The project she did with Gacharic Spin. And then I learned she had like, three or four bands/projects. BUSY lady! Amazing voice, and everything she touches is a winner.
And after that video you guys watched with the person playing the fan or whatever the heck that was, Zutomayo, I'm not gonna be surprised at the amount of band members anymore. Bring out as many as you want. Won't be shocked anymore!
Technical melodic speed metal.
That's how UM describe their style. One of the best bands in the world, and so unassuming with it.
If I was to introduce someone to UM for their first listen, this is the specific song and performance I would show them.
🤘🤘
Yes, Fuki is excellent singer. You could try her side-project with girls from "Gacharic Spin". They call themselves "Doll$Box", and they play very rarely - but excellent. I propose to react any odtheir songs from 2018. concert in Tokyo. But "Unlucky Morpheus" were my second "meeting" with Japanese rock a couple years ago, and I fall in love with them instantly! Well, most my salutations to Fuki, of course (hahaha), but others in the band are excellent musicians, and they are independent from any labels, which is rare! Wish them all the best, and to you two, of course!
Thank you for backing to Unlucky Morpheus. This song is like a fairy tale. Such a story song! So beautiful!
Did you watch "Black Pentagram" live video? It is quite different from the music video.
Thank you for the reaction. More Unlucky Morpheus on the channel.
you gotta love a metal band with a fiddle in it, love this song, and yes that gal plays a mean fiddle..........🤘🤘👍👍
Nice reaction guys, really like this band and Jill is just amazing. Shiren has a condition that affects the tendons in his hands and arms, and playing the guitar can get incredibly painful at times. Jiill takes over on Lead Guitar, with her violin! sometimes.
Thank you for watching!
I don't like all of their songs, but the peaks of genius they sometimes display are unparalleled. I love them so much. 🖤
Strandberg headless guitar weighs about 4lbs. and change because of his shoulder issues I think some type of tendinitis and it’s a 7 string same as stage right oh and Shiren the growler was the lead guitarist in one of the first iterations of Baby Metal
Ankimo also has a lot of great songs...💕
I'm glad to see more reactions to Ankimo from now on.✨✨
Jealousy of Silence ❤❤
BLACK PENTAGRAM (Live) is the one you want.
After that, JILL’s cover of ERUPTION!
Noted!!
@@TJandTheGringa Black Pentagram is KILLER live
The direct title of the song is (May Your Soul Have Peace ~ Dignity of spirit).
So, just to add to the background of this particular song, the song is based on a battle theme of Saigyouji Yuyuko from the video game of 'Touhou project' - you can look it up on widipedia - it's a niche video game created by ONE person from Japan (I kid you not) (Yes, the band members are video game nerds).
Anyways, the song is a rearrangement of (Bloom, Gracefully, Ink-Dyed Cherry Blossom). Yuyuko is a ghost who is in charge of the nether world, with the ability to control death. There was a great cherry blossom at the center of her garden which never blossomed for a millennia and she searched for a reason. She found out there was something sealed under the tree and she attempted to unseal it but failed to do so.
But it was actually Yuyuko who had ended her life under the tree to prevent the tree to attract people to their death. This was due to her father who was an ancient great poet that was buried under the tree originally - who had wanted to be buried under the great Cherry Blossom. Him being buried under the tree had turned the tree into a dangerous apparition. Yuyuko ended her life there so that her power transcended into controlling death, and apparition was sealed with her remain, buried deep under the tree. Turned into a ghost, Yuyuko had lost her memories of all that. At the end, Spring is released and the cherry blossoms bloomed in the living world.
Lyrics--- (note: Fuki writes her songs with very classical Japanese words - turning her songs to be very beautiful poetry)
Adoringly counting the splendid memories, the lips that sang regret is blurred with blood.
The young girl has chosen to fight, with not even one to gather the remains she discarded with determination.
When the long winter and night passed, and the eternal time ends,
will you finally understand, the one only truth.
Even endured, the deep scar carved on the remains of the past cannot be forgotten.
The bullied pale arm is dyed more crimson than that flower’s karma.
While insanely remembering the stopped time, you gather the moment of awakening as if you are attracted to it.
The young girl only wished to wait, just as the law to the unjudgeable.
When the long winter and night passed, and the eternal time ends.
Will you finally understand, the one only truth.
The capricious tragedy shakes the clouds, with the furtive roar of the nameless song.
From the ones who share the same wound with their heart, the scream that cannot be turned into voice wet my cheeks.
While wiping the warped slights countless times, the glare in your eyes agitates my heart.
The young girl has chosen to fight, with resolution and hope abiding by her side.
When tired of waiting for the late spring, and the love that won’t bloom withers,
Will you finally understand, the one only solution.
Until this path “cannot turn back”
is overcome. “cannot be disdained”
Until the sin “cannot forget”
is judged. “cannot be ended”
Hurt my pride! Stab my back! Since you bear the unhealable wound.
Over drive! Stand your life! If you can approach by defiance.
Heaven’s Door! Stop my grudge! If you seized your clue.
Over drive! Stand my life! Come to the hell where you’ll never rest in peace again.
When the long winter and night passed, and the eternal time ends.
Will you each know the truth? Will you rest with a smile?
If this wish can be fulfilled, If I can see you through,
I will also return to where I belong, that cherry blossom is calling to me.

Unlucky Morpheus are yet another Japanese band that, like The Wagakki Band for example, know how to mix genres and instruments (love the way the violin is used, almost like a second, soaring vocal) and also kill it live. Talking of excellent live Japanese bands - Nemophila dropped a live performance today from a concert earlier this year Enigma ruclips.net/video/082Ikg7SDxY/видео.htmlsi=wDITDw3VliJwCI2R .
awesome band and performance! another female supergroup with a killer violonist would be "East of Eden - Evolve" with bassmonster wakazaemon ...
And guitar goddess Yuki D-drive!
Phantom blood!!
Unlucky Morpheus and Galneryus are top-tier. But my favorite is still Lovebites.
If you liked Lovebites and Unlucky Morpheus, you'll love Guarnerius. I think you can really feel the ``artistic heavy metal'' that is typical of Japan. These three bands have members in common and have a mysterious connection. *The hints are LB's "Mao Yamamoto", vocalist "Fuki" and drummer "Fumiya".
Galneryus!
@TheCyberMantis 様、
Thank you for pointing it out! I converted it using the translation function, so it was written incorrectly😅

Shiren plays a Strandberg , nowadays a 7-string Strandberg guitar. He chose this guitar because of an injury to his hand.
Strandberg guitar
とうとうアンキモもバレてしまったか
Yes, they are a sextet but they made an amazing project Unlucky Morpheus Quadratum. It's a quartet project the singer and the guitarist with the headless guitar left out. You'll need a whole day to place back your jaw in the right position. They don't need a keyboard, Jill the violinist plays the keyboard part with her violin in this performance. She does it perfectly with four strings and a bow. It is pure talent and insane. Try Eruption + The Dance Of Eternity cover ruclips.net/video/XC2A1hbuLmI/видео.html
An absolute must see.
@@785boats You really do. You just can't miss it.
Epic! please check out《phantom blood》live next!🤘🏻🔥
And he is a bass teacher at a music academy and a jazz bassist
i recommend and don't mind that you do the CADAVER/REVADAC music video despite the last reaction you did with the live version, the recording from the last video really didn't do it justice.
We recently checked out a killer song by them ..We will def revisit Cadaver / Revadac 🤘
☺
Great reaction to a great band😀👍
You must check out Doll$box. It is the members of Gacharic Spun together with Fuki. The singer of Unlucky Morpheus. A fantastic group. Check out the song Take my Chance😁👍
By the way. If you haven't reacted to Gacharic Spin you MUST do that. The most underrated bsnd out there. Totally crazy.
This is a fairly normal Jrock song but I prefer their darker, creepier songs like The Black Death Mansion Murders, Angreifer, and Kago no tori.
But I do like Wagakki Band!
like you, I haven't seen this band in years. When I 1st came across them while discovering BAND-MAID, I didn't care for them, but they've definitely improved! Still a bit too theatric for me.
Great band and great musicians but unfortunately Fuki's over the top vibrato keeps them from being a band that I can fully get into...Great Cannon Films shirt by the way, reminds me of my youth.
@@guitarzen5999 Have you checked out *Unholy Orpheus*? It’s a melodic death metal project by Unlucky Morpheus without Fuki. She isn’t a member of this project, so she doesn’t sing on the album except for one track where she’s a featured vocalist. I saw their live performance, and it was absolutely rad and incredible!🤘

I am sorry. I cannot stand this amount of vibrato in the voice. I have tried several times with this fantastic group. But, it fails on the singing.
