A small warning from a Swede. This "Volvo" is built to meet a"low" price and it can show: - the cheaper version with 51kWh battery (due when the climate is getting warmer..) uses LiFePo+ (lithiumion, iron phosphate) batteries that are historically far worse in the cold than this 69kWh NMC/NCM (nickel mangan cobolt). The claimed improvements for Lifepo4 should tested. They do use less materials from conflict countries so hopefully they perform good enough. - small 12,3" screen, cheaper than larger ones used in competitors models? - no OTA updates for any version (it lacks a powerful enough main computer to handle this reliable) - very, if any, few physical buttons are a safety problem. But cheaper to manufacture.. Navigation to, for example, activate the heated rear window during driving is very complex. Touch buttons work very unpredictable. Very un-Volvo 😢 - the heated steering wheel turns itself off. Randomly or to soon. Bugs, you are the beta tester - road stability on snow when one pedal mode is active can be dangerous, cruising at highway speeds and letting to of the gas pedal has been said (DN.se journalist) to be unstable. Very un-Volvo 😢 - backseat is very crammed for 170cm+ persons

That must been in downhill and with tailwind...
@@bjornnyland Maybe a little bit of tailwind ( altho max wind was 22kmph from SSW. I went up to the south of the country so you can only up upwards. I went from 4m above sea level to 110m
@@bjornnyland Must be the roads over there - In summer in Australia I am at or under 100wh/km at 90km/h on a flat freeway with no wind, and around 120-125 wh/km at 110km/h and that's in my "old" 2023 model 3 not even the new Highland version. My last 1000km average is 95wh/km (50% freeway at 110km/h and 50% city start-stop), my lifetime usage for 26,000km including -5C winter morinings is only 108wh/km with the same highway / city split.
I do a semi regular drive to Melbourne from Sydney in a 2023 RWD Model 3 - my first stop is 397km away from home, 100m elevation rise, 90% is 110km/h freeway - the lowest charge I have arrived with is 12% with rain and 10C, I normally arrive with 16-17% when the road is dry.

Why not play directly from the apps e.g Spotify directly from the infotainment system?

We have to admit that the Chinese are gaining territory in many aspects, including quality. Its a result of a long term vision which European countries lack of

Enjoy your videos. Which app do you use to test 0-62 time? Thanks.

A small warning from a Swede. This "Volvo" is built to meet a"low" price and it can show:
- the cheaper version with 51kWh battery (due when the climate is getting warmer..) uses LiFePo+ (lithiumion, iron phosphate) batteries that are historically far worse in the cold than this 69kWh NMC/NCM (nickel mangan cobolt). The claimed improvements for Lifepo4 should tested. They do use less materials from conflict countries so hopefully they perform good enough.
- small 12,3" screen, cheaper than larger ones used in competitors models?
- no OTA updates for any version (it lacks a powerful enough main computer to handle this reliable)
- very, if any, few physical buttons are a safety problem. But cheaper to manufacture.. Navigation to, for example, activate the heated rear window during driving is very complex. Touch buttons work very unpredictable. Very un-Volvo 😢
- the heated steering wheel turns itself off. Randomly or to soon. Bugs, you are the beta tester
- road stability on snow when one pedal mode is active can be dangerous, cruising at highway speeds and letting to of the gas pedal has been said (DN.se journalist) to be unstable. Very un-Volvo 😢
- backseat is very crammed for 170cm+ persons
do you prefer overall the smart @3 or the EX30?
EX30
@@bjornnyland i bought the hachtag ! too late 😂
3:37 seriously though how difficult it to change lanes? Are we breeding a generation of really, really bad drivers? It’s not like the current crop is capable of driving either but at least they have an access to several hundreds of horse power - that’s good right?
Sorry if you feel annoyed. I was just testing a feature of the car.
doesn't it have native spotify? Bluetooth never great.
That user interface is a total scam. Screens these days cost nothing and they can't give you an additional one in a PREMIUM brand car.
Er det mulighet for å justere følsomheten på gasspedal? Synes det var litt tricky å holde jevn hastighet uten at det ble hakkete.
Use snow or eco mode
EX 30 can only be loved by Volvo fans.
What is the app you use to monitor the battery condition? What obd dongle do you use?
Car Scanner
Too expensive
Test the new MY LR RWD plz!!!! volvo is a fail, you dont go anywhere with 250 km range..
Chinese or Swedish car?
Swedish designed, but built in a Chinese factory using ALL Chinese parts&labor. 👍🏻😀
@@4literv6 no wonder why
@@4literv6 The EX30 delivered to Europe is built in Ghent, Belgium.
@@TB-up4xi not yet it ain't smh. That's an in progress project not even expected to produce ex30s until sometime in late 2025.😏
Volvo HAVE never been good at efficiency. Either its ICE or EVs. The EVs are so so thirsty...
The sad part is the fact that Volvo is chinese now… :(
Better than owned by Ford… or defunct. No one remembers SAAB.
@@FrunkensteinVonZipperneck I’d rather buy Ford / Volvo than Geele / Volvo…
I was considering buying an EX30 (I have 90% of fundings needed), but since it’s a Chinese - made car I’ll pass. Sadly…
Now?? Geely Bought Volvo Cars 2010 so it’s been chinese for 14 years.
@@aXimo Crying about how your bigotry makes you feel on multiple ex30 videos.
No range no sales, they just dont get it. Very few will spend big bucks for a city car.
No instrument cluster in front with what looks like smaller screen than 3/Y (From the perspective of the video) that is not even oriented horizontally, that's a big meh. I was really hoping that at least it could give you speed / gear info in front instead of calling Chinese CIA...
65kWh battery is a joke for this car . This car needs AWD with 90kWh battery, eco leather seats and then I will pay 45k euro
There is a technical limit to the mass of the battery. The XC40 RWD has an optional 82 kWh battery which kills the driving dynamics in exchange for faster charge times and longer range. MG4 LR has the same trade off. Unless you can install a 90kwh battery in a car this small and make it weigh LESS than it does now it will be undriveable for all but a few. A car the size of a Corolla cross that weighs twice as much and costs three times as much is not a good deal
Terrible car.
