Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster 4/10

I have this game for like 3 years yet whenever I was about to focus on it, I ended up finding something better to play so I always dropped it midway. Completing it today starting it from scratch for the nth time, I can say I realized why I was constantly dropping it. I was disappointed with the characters, story, gameplay mechanics (looking at you inventory system), level design, enemies and antagonist of this game. I enjoyed the puzzles and the OST though so that's something. Finally after completing this chore, I can go for Resident Evil HD Remaster and Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Dark Souls 2 (7.5/10)

Highly addicting like all the other Souls games, and I even nabbed the Platinum trophy. Based on the singleplayer experience alone, this game is easily the weakest in the trilogy, consisting of bland level designs, forgettable bosses (although the DLC ones are great), and uninteresting lore. In terms of multiplayer and gameplay, however, it's arguably the best. There are no OP builds, the Power Stance mechanic is damn fun, and online interaction is still possible even in cleared areas. My only gripe is the Soul Memory system, which is the worst mistake From Software has ever made.

Days Gone 6/10

A rather forgettable game, really. Didn't really know what the main character's motivations were - just seemed like a biker gang dude gone slave trader. Still provided a slight bit of entertainment, though. Played the whole thing.

Resident Evil HD Remaster (2015) - 8.5/10

Now that one was enjoyable. Didn't realize how quickly I finished it. Didn't give a higher score because as a remaster it was pretty lazily made at parts and was never fun of the RE's original gameplay mechanics.

I finally played through the entire Half-Life series recently.

HL 1:
8.5/10
Amazing game, but a few annoying bits and also the final boss fight was horrendous.
HL Opposing Force:
7/10
Can't say it clicked with me as much as HL1. Still fun though, especially with all the new weapons.
HL Blue Shift:
7/10
Interesting concept and great exception, but it was too damn short.
HL 2:
9/10
I don't really think this deserves to be as acclaimed as it is, but it was still a fun time. The physics puzzles were neat, the level design was genius, and I really liked the locations. The Citadel and Highway 17 will probably go down as some of my personal favorite gaming moments.
HL 2 Ep 1:
6/10
Meh, too short and not all that interesting. Still fun though.
HL 2 Ep 2:
8.5/10
Almost on par with HL2, but again, it was too short. I really liked the environments here.

Got through Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night after ~25 hours of play time, Platinum Trophy and all.
Long story short, if you like Metroidvania, just as I do, then get it. It's a Kickstarter game done right and fully enjoyable. BUT: With a lot of gripes.
If you compare it to a Metroidvania with so much finesse as Hollow Knight (10/10), then Bloodstained will fail miserably. Sound wise, design wise and especially presentation wise. At some point I didn't really care for the story unfolding anymore and just went along with the gameplay. And that's okay.

The actual game is has to be compared to is Castlevania - Symphony of the Night, another one of my favorite games (9/10).
Overall, it feels almost like a carbon copy to SotN. Which sounds good on paper but in the end SotN has been the trendsetter, Ritual of the Night just a follower without any innovation. At least no innovation I found during my playthrough.
Is it fun? Yes. But for today's standards, maybe somewhat lacking. And that's a bummer. Truth be told, I don't see a reason to replay it if I could play SotN instead, which has just more charme.
But nonetheless, it's still a good game and any Metroidvania fan should play it.

And one last gripe: The end game is just a grind fest, monster and shard completion is okay but the need to collect all items as well is just uncalled for and tiring.

I had my mind jumping somewhere around an 8 and an 9 at first, but the further I got the more sympathy I got for SotN. In the end it's an 7/10 from me.

Resident Evil 2 Remake 8.5/10

A great remake and I liked that they brought back the 3rd person view. I wish I could feel the horror element more and the 2nd run to not be like 80% identical to the 1st one.

That one is hard to rate. Gameplay wise Lucah - Born of a Dream is rather similar to calibers of Hyper Light Drifter, just with even more customization. Sounds good but something feels off, probably because most of the Mantra are rather similar to each other and the customables like 50% useless.
Story, in combination with those visual novel parts (without actual visuals), is downright hard to follow without a proper guide and even then, it is still hard.
Great sound for an indie. The graphics are, while not neccessarily the best, rather unique with that children scribble design.

I was on the edge giving this a 6 during my last hours replaying that thing but I think I'll go with a 7/10, the biggest reason being the solid gameplay.
Not the absolute "indie gem" the Steam site and forums made it out to be in my eyes, but still a damn fine game for what it is. Indie developers do keep releasing a bunch of great stuff.

Evenicle (8/10)

Fun VN/RPG hybrid with memorable characters, a cute artstyle, solid worldbuilding, and a lighthearted story containing some surprisingly dark moments. Combat is fairly repetitive, so it's mostly for those looking for an engaging narrative and well-done lewd scenes. Some of the bosses in the final chapter can be total BS without trial-and-error, and beating them felt nothing short of euphoric.

Can't wait for Mangagamer to localize the sequel!

Gameplay feels a bit slow and dated, but the story, music, and characters more than made up for it. We get some nice world-building as well.

Finishing up the second Ace Attorney game in the trilogy like halfway through the last episode. I give it a 6/10 and the first game a 7/10. I hope the very last game is better than both.

Edgeworth is my favorite character easily I don't really care too much for the whipping girl honestly and I don't know what the other guy is like since I haven't played the last game yet.

In general, the second game is considered to be the worst in the series, while the third one is one of the best. That's my opinion on it anyway.

Speaking of which, I'm currently playing through Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. Although I have liked the story so far, the contradictions and the actual mysteries aren't that great. Then again, I suppose I've been spoiled by some good fangames.

Sonic Forces
Pretty much a sequel to Sonic Mania and a lookalike to Sonic Generations. Story and presentation aside, as they never really shine in a Sonic game, the gameplay is just awful lots of times. I have no idea how Team Sonic could create such a downgrade while having a quite good working reference such as Sonic Generations. Modern Sonic is harder to control and 2D segments won't give you a chance for precise movement because the game likes to automatically adjust your landing position when jumping. o_O The hell.
The game is fun at times, but the controls destroy so much.

Little Busters English Edition.
I just played the EX routes because i have finished the original Little Busters routes last year. Anyway for the rating :

Saya Route - 8.5/10. I liked the relationship between Riki and Saya, and Saya's Character was fun. The Comedy was great too, and the there was somewhat emotional moments. But the ending was unclear, there were a few questions left unanswered.

Kanata Route - 9/10. My favorite route of EX so far. The drama was powerful and emotional. It's explained why she acts so bitchy towards her twin sister, and it's refreshing how different she acts in this route. Not to mention Kanata as Heroine was cute. It's a shame that her relationship with Riki was underdeveloped. And again the ending was unclear, and the story was doesn't make sense at time.

Sasami Route - 7.5/10. Overall this was a fun ride. This route was unique. The Comedy was good. The romance and drama was weak compared to the other EX routes, but it was decent at least. I can relate to this route because i went through the same situation as Sasami, well not to the supernatural/magic thing.

Dead Space 2 (7.5/10)

Fun game, but not as good nor scary as the first. The first half was fairly weak with copy-paste urban environments and predictable jumpscares. Gameplay-wise, though, it's a massive improvement over the first with recharging stasis, balanced weapons, and actual boss fights. Oh yeah, also nice to finally hear Isaac talk.

Rance 5D: The Lonely Girl (5/10)

Easily the worst Rance game, though I still enjoyed it to an extent. The 'dice-roll' gameplay is unique, but also very frustrating. Story is also barebones. Playing the sixth game now and enjoying it infinitely more.

Danganronpa V3 - 6.5/10

Really interesting characters, all full of personality in a good story with loads of twists with an amazing, memorable soundtrack. I didn't like the ending as I felt that everything was kinda just thrown at you without any warning, you weren't really able to solve the mystery for yourself. I found some of the minigames really frustrating and the game was made for console, so my experience playing on pc consisted of half of my clicks not registering and trying to figure out all the hotkeys. I had a much better experience with the previous games.

Okami ps2 : 6/10
Overall I enjoyed it, it has a really cool and unique painted visual style, it's pretty dynamic and all the references to japanese folklore and old legend but it had plenty of flaws that ruined the experience and makes me feel a 6 is still quite generous.
I regret that it's not challenging in the slightest way, the paintbrush powers aren't innovative and barely creative as I would've expected, it's often just connecting an element to an object that's right in front which in turn generates a pretty lame level design and puzzles. It probably would have felt more rewarding if you could create the different elements yourself.
What was annoying was also that the brush controls were quite irresponsive and I had to sometimes repeat the symbols a dozen times before it would finally work.
Finally the bosses in this game were more long than they are exciting, often relying on a single pattern and applying it until the giant health bar was depleted. There's a severe lack of variety in the battle system and while the brush powers could've been a great way to solve that problem in the end the symbols are a chore to do and just considerably slow down.
Yeah that's pretty much it, I think I said everything I wanted to say.

Uncharted 4. 4/10

This "game" is unIronically one of the worst games I've ever played, and that's simply because it can't even be called a game.

It goes against everything a video game is supposed to be.
Fun, addictive & a stress reliever.

This game is not fun, it's a chore and it does not relieve stress. In fact it only causes more.
The only time I had my stress relieved was when those credits finally started rolling.
They took out even the smallest things that made the game have replayability, like changing your character after completing the game.
It wants to be a pretentious masterpiece in the story department, and it can't even do that right.
The story is mediocre at best, it's a climbing & talking simulator (holy f*ck they talk SO much).

I could rant about this all day, but I won't.
Point is, don't buy this garbage, just play the other 3. They're much more fun and actually classify as games.

Not really 'finished' as it's hard to call a fighting game finished. But soulcalibur VI. 9/10. Amazing game. Extremely fun and satisfying to play, all characters are fun, the character creation is the best one I have ever came across. Tons of fun.
It's extremely hard for me, I suck majorly at it. I don't know, I never really played a fighter before (bit of tekken at friend's place a decade ago, lol), but coming to it from years of MMO/Moba was a shock. It took me like 20 lost ranked games to win the first one.

Rogue-like based on deck building. Lots of replayability, even more so with mods. Some of the mods are anime themed to, which is nice.
