[edit]Perhaps, Topoli link in Feb. 22 article should be changed from Topoli (rural settlement) to Topoli (village), Kharkiv oblast. 78.37.216.35 (talk) 12:48, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- No, as Topoli (rural settlement) is the correct Topoli. The larger settlement has been under Russian control for the entire time. Flemmish Nietzsche (talk) 20:19, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

Rearrange oder to newest->oldest
[edit]Since this is an ongoing event featured on the main page it is expected that recent changes are more relevant to the readers. This is also reflected in the fact that this topic is divided into multiple chronological sections with there own respective pages and only the most recent page is featured on the main page. Therefore it would be convenient to rearrange the events to display the newest changes on top. 2A02:3030:670:9474:2107:356B:544C:2120 (talk) 12:47, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Going chronologically is consistent with other timeline articles, and imo is more appropriate for an encyclopedia format (as opposed to, for instance, live news updates) Placeholderer (talk) 14:21, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
Nate Vance, first cousin of the American Vice President J. D. Vance, shared his experience with Le Figaro
[edit]Nate Vance, first cousin of the American Vice President J. D. Vance, shared his experience with Le Figaro.
Initially motivated by curiosity, he joined the Ukrainian ranks to defend Kyiv by integrating into the Da Vinci Wolves Battalion of the 59th Assault Brigade of Ukraine, with which he spent nearly three years on the field, including two and a half years on the front lines (Kupiansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Pokrovsk). However, he had to return to the United States in January 2025 due to his familial connection with the American Vice President. Nate strongly criticized the meeting between Zelensky and Trump, which he described as a diplomatic fiasco, and expressed his disappointment with his cousin J. D. Vance for his skepticism toward Ukraine, based on reports rather than lived experiences. He regretted that J. D. Vance never sought to understand the reality of the conflict, despite his own firsthand accounts. He concluded that the United States, in attempting to appease Vladimir Putin, plays the role of a "useful idiot" in relation to Russia[1] · [2] · [3] · [4] · [5].
You can add the text to the article if you wish.

Negotiations
[edit]Could more information on any relevant negotiations be included in the timeline?"195.244.197.30 (talk) 08:30, 13 March 2025 (UTC)" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.244.197.30 (talk) 08:02, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Could somebody make a link...
[edit]... to article Tetiana Kulyk, please? See 26 February: Ukrinform journalist Tetiana Kulyk was ...- I am not yet allowed to do so. This Ukrainian journalist was one of the editors-in-chief of the national news agency Ukrinform. She and her husband were killed on February 26. Russia sent a Shahed drone to silence her voice during the night. Hmm. I hope several interviews of the Nation of Invincibles -series she hosted, could be translated also into English, and published to wider audience. -Paju~enwiki (talk) 02:40, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
Done but be careful not to WP:FORUM with edit requests Placeholderer (talk) 13:28, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- I definitely object to mentions of this loaded silencer. Appreciate you beating me to it nevertheless. Borgenland (talk) 14:21, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
Clarification
[edit]@Borgenland thanks for your tons of contributions to developing-story articles, but could you clarify the reasoning behind this edit?[1] The reports are notable, credible, relevant, and properly attributed. I get that there could be WP:CRYSTAL concerns about the abduction tracker end date, but the specific date could just be taken out Placeholderer (talk) 14:09, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Apologies if I might sound harsh, but I am of the belief that this is a timeline of events that happened during the war, not a timeline of news reports, observations and findings made regarding the war. I support reinserting the Yale shutdown once we get there, but as for the Reuters report this has been happening and ongoing as mentioned since 20 January, and I am not inclined to insert it until a full stop (probably a definite date and more specific entities) is made. 14:20, 21 March 2025 (UTC) Borgenland (talk) 14:20, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- That makes sense. I suppose the Reuters report might make more sense to include elsewhere. Thanks! Placeholderer (talk) 14:48, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
